Activities at The Willows
At The Willows, we take pride in supporting all residents live a meaningful and enjoyable life.
We feel that activities play a key part in achieving this objective.
We understand that activities only become meaningful when they are part and parcel of each residents personalised care plan and they have been involved in choosing the activities that give substance to their daily life.
To ensure every resident is fully involved in choosing activities they would enjoy and would like to participate in, our intake process works with the resident and their loved ones to discover who they are, how they have lived their life and what supports them enjoy and live a meaningful quality life.
This information is used to develop a customised care plan (which includes activities of their choice) to deliver staff support to the resident to enjoy their life.

Activities Co-ordinators
We would like to introduce ourselves as activities coordinators at The Willows, Lawshall Suffolk.
We have both varied careers which have always been centred around working with people from diverse backgrounds, presenting different needs.
We thoroughly enjoy our role of working directly and engaging with our wonderful Residents at the Willows.
We always aim to be inclusive and respectful to our Residents choices of activities, integrating a varied programme of creativity, exercise, music, reminiscence, one to one interactions, pampering sessions, themed days and many more ideas that we are always planning and tweaking to suit our Residents needs.
The feedback from both Residents and their families and the care staff at The Willows is very positive and gives us great enthusiasm for this essential role.
Seeing our residents laughing, smiling, socialising and enjoying participating in the activities gives us immense joy.
Please take a moment to look at the bulleted list of activities under the ‘Activities’ tab at The Willows to see what we aim to provide for our residents.

Incredible Dogs
The Willows welcomed Martin from Rescued Dogs with their amazing dogs. Residents greatly enjoyed learning about the different dogs and how important conservation is for the UK to continue to have such incredible dogs living in the community. It was such an incredible experience to be up so close, thank you for a great afternoon.
Happy 85th Birthday Mary!
The Willows Residents and Staff celebrated our resident Mary’s 85 birthday with a birthday cake and a grand party to her favourite rock and roll musician Elvis. Everyone danced and ate till wee hours of the morning
